Project background

Mimetrik is a medical startup developing innovative solutions for the dental industry. Their flagship product, Cubit360, is a compact desktop 360° dental scanner designed to digitise dental models in laboratories, surgeries, or even non-medical settings.

Ahead of its launch, Mimetrik needed a strong brand foundation and a functional, user-friendly interface for Cubit360. The challenge was multi-faceted:

  • establish a clear brand identity that could scale with the business

  • create a coherent product branding system

  • design an intuitive GUI that translated complex dental scanning processes into simple user interactions

All of this had to be ready in time for the product’s first public showing at the International Dental Symposium 2025.

The approach

I worked closely with Mimetrik across strategy, brand, and product design to strengthen their positioning and bring their new product, Cubit360, to market.

Strategy & Brand Clarity

  • Facilitated a Business Model Canvas workshop to uncover core needs, refine value propositions, and sharpen strategic direction.

  • Led the creative direction of a brand refresh delivered by the creative team - resolving technical issues with the original logo and modernising the identity through refined typography, colour, and a new graphic device.

  • Developed a product branding system linking Cubit360 to the parent brand: the logo was crafted using Co Text to create distinction while maintaining visual continuity through the shared colour palette.

Product Design

  • Translated user research into actionable insights, defining key user jobs and product features.

  • Designed the interface hands-on, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring functionality and usability met the needs of dental professionals.

  • Supported the client on conducting user research

Project Management

  • Oversaw end-to-end delivery, aligning stakeholders, creative direction, and product development to meet critical launch milestones and maintain coherence across all outputs.

Final results

  • Successfully launched Cubit360’s brand and GUI in time for promotion at the International Dental Symposium 2025.

  • Generated strong industry interest, enabling Mimetrik to progress toward the product’s official release in October 2025.

  • Delivered a unified brand system, tying Cubit360 seamlessly back to Mimetrik while giving it a distinct product identity.
